The Global Defender Portable System is totally self-contained and remotely operated. It is mounted on four all-terrain tires, which makes it very easy to maneuver over rough terrain. The 100 foot discharge hose is mounted on a convenient hose reel atop the system. This allows for maximum stand-off capability. The Portable system utilizes a 60 gallon pressure vessel, and is designed to provide mitigation for IEDD's up to 2 pounds high explosive. Two attached nitrogen cylinders are required to operate the system. These cylinders fit alongside the unit in flexible bottle racks. The system is activated by turning only one handle from "Closed" to "Open." Once it is activated, simply walk away and the system will automatically fill the enclosure and cover the device, allowing personnel to retreat to a safer distance. All of our portable systems are constructed of lightweight carbon steel vessels and aluminum frames. This results in systems which are easily transported, but still very strong.
